Success in first grade requires a strong foundation of reading skills and a high level of confidence. In this program, your child will:

• Learn phonics skills
• Build sight vocabulary
• Improve comprehension
• Practice independent reading
• Develop a love of reading

The program meets once a week for 5 weeks, and includes group instruction, individual attention, and engaging books and materials.

Parents attend each class and receive individualized guidance about how to support their child’s reading.
